Job summary

Madison Gas and Electric is seeking a senior professional to provide advanced business systems analysis, operational analytics, and data insights to enhance customer experience and back-office performance. You will liaise between business users and technical teams, owning analysis, reporting, and end-to-end project delivery.

Responsibilities include designing dashboards, validating data, and translating needs into functional specs while applying AI tools to streamline processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, operations analytics, or a related field.
• Advanced experience with SQL platforms and data analysis.
• Experience serving as a resource for customer-facing systems and reporting.
• Experience leading small to moderately complex projects.
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements and technical specs.
• Experience using AI or automation tools to improve analysis or reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analysis of operational and customer data to identify trends, issues, root causes, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Design, develop, maintain, and validate SQL queries, data analysis, dashboards, and reports.
• Serve as a subject-matter resource for customer-facing and back-office platforms.
• Gather and analyze business needs and translate into functional requirements and draft technical specs.
• Own the full lifecycle for system enhancements, reporting, integrations, and changes.
• Apply data insights and automation tools to streamline analysis and improve reporting.
• Lead small to moderately complex projects and cross-functional workstreams.
• Establish procedures, guides, and documentation for customer systems and processes.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and influence decisions.
