Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Data Analyst to leverage data assets and support venues across the Southwest, including Footprint Center and Arizona State University. The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and communicating insights to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities include building cross-functional analyses, automating longitudinal studies, and contributing to strategic initiatives like new lines of business. A strong SQL, BI, and Excel background is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or statistics.
• BS degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of SQL and statistical methods.
• Experience with multiple business intelligence tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficient knowledge of the Food Services & Hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze relevant reports and insights on current and potential markets, performance, and industry trends in the Food & Hospitality sector.
• Develop in-depth industry knowledge, share insights, benchmarks, and best practices with senior leaders.
• Combine data from disparate sources to complete analyses and build processes to automate future longitudinal studies.
• Participate in strategic initiatives such as business development and new lines of business.
• Investigate customer and vendor issues to ensure profitable product management.
• Communicate analysis to senior leaders and clients using plain language, with minimal oversight.
• Manage competing priorities, both planned and ad-hoc.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert in one or more data domains.
• Represent OVG at industry events and conventions to promote the brand.
• Generate actionable insights from large data sets that add value to the business.
