Job Title: Data Analyst - GIS

Location: Austin, TX

Employment Type: Full-time

Duties

1. Perform ad hoc database investigations to understand data maintenance issues and explore remedies.
2. Assist with the automation of data maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

1. Ability to write and debug SQL queries (Postgres preferred).
2. Fluency with command line interfaces (bash, zshell).
3. Basic scripting ability (Python preferred).
4. Understanding of underlying data structures impacted by maintenance edits.
5. Experience or ability to learn Apple proprietary database CLI.

Responsibilities

1. Complete client project training for all map data layers.
2. Complete client tools training for map data editing, edit tracking, and reporting.
3. Conduct open-source research for map data corroboration.
4. Conduct targeted research in registered data sources.
5. Gain fluency with macOS, Numbers, Pages, Slack, Quip, Mail, Calendar, and Client Maps.
6. Maintain good communication skills.
7. Work 5 days in the office.
8. Complete client-specific training and certification.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $65,000 per year
