Job summary

City of Aurora’s Fire Rescue data team seeks a Data Analyst to acquire, manage, analyze, and report AFR operational data to support performance measurement and regulatory reporting.

You will develop recurring and ad hoc dashboards, perform data integration across CAD, RMS, and NERIS, and use SQL and BI tools to present findings that inform leadership decisions and drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Public Administration with emphasis in quantitative analysis, or closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of BI tools and data visualization concepts.
• Experience in data modeling, reporting, and analytics in public safety or similar domains.

Responsibilities

• Maintain AFR data and reporting functions across CAD, RMS, NERIS and related databases.
• Develop and maintain data integrations between systems to ensure consistent data quality.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support operations and decision making.
• Collaborate with staff to define data requirements and ensure accuracy of analyses.
• Provide updates on AFR GIS data and participate in evaluating new data technologies.
