Qualifications

Parahunt Global Solutions is hiring an entry-level Data Analyst in Buffalo, NY (onsite) to support data collection, cleaning, analysis, and reporting. The role is paid and includes training and development opportunities, with hands‑on work supporting analytics solutions across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Excel to surface trends and patterns that support business strategies.
• Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar reporting tools to share insights across teams.
• Design and optimize database structures using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or other SQL databases to enable efficient storage and retrieval.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather report and dashboard requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the SDLC by participating in requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and maintenance for analytics solutions.
• Implement ETL processes using Talend or VBA to support accurate data integration from sources including linked data or Unix shell scripts.
• Assist with database design and query management to improve data accessibility and reporting accuracy while following best practices for data model design.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for database querying; familiarity with R or Python for analysis is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and experience with database design principles.
• Familiarity with business intelligence concepts and dashboard development techniques.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving ability combined with effective communication skills for business analysis and requirements gathering.
• Technical proficiency with tools such as Visio for process modeling.
• Experience with Bash (Unix shell), VBA, Talend, or Oracle is a plus.
