Job summary

ITT Flow Technology in New York is seeking a college co-op to join the Mixing Industry Continuous Improvement Team. The student will help improve manufacturing processes through digital tools such as SAP, BW4Hana, Power BI, Power Apps, and other MS products.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, validate data from multiple systems.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.
• Write and modify SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from databases.
• Support ad hoc reporting requests and data analysis projects for various business functions.
• Document data sources, reporting logic, and analytical methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Assist in automation of recurring reports and data processes to improve efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives by providing data-driven recommendations.
• Present analytical findings and recommendations to team members and business partners as needed.
• Maintain compliance with company data governance, security, and confidentiality standards.
• Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL with the ability to write and modify queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data manipulation.
• Ability to perform data quality checks, identify discrepancies, and support resolution of data issues.
• Ability to translate business needs into reporting requirements, metrics, and meaningful analysis.

Education

• Working towards BS degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
