About The Role

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking a Data Analyst to join our innovative Financial Planning & Analysis team. In this fully remote role, you will leverage your data expertise to drive strategic outcomes, enhance business performance, and influence key financial and operational initiatives across diverse agricultural business units. Your insights will support decision-making at all levels and contribute to the company’s competitive edge and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth financial and business analyses to evaluate impacts on divisional and business unit P&Ls.
  • Support strategic planning, including market sizing, pricing strategies, and ROI forecasting.
  • Develop financial models for acquisitions and investment opportunities.
  • Build analytical models using Python, R, SQL, or Databricks to optimize inventory, product mix, customer segmentation, and supply chain metrics.
  • Apply statistical and predictive methods to improve forecasting and operational efficiency.
  • Design dashboards and reports with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to communicate insights clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable data infrastructure using cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
  • Partner with business leaders, agronomists, and product managers to understand analytics needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Analyze agricultural trends and sustainability metrics to support data-informed decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, financial analysis, or business consulting.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or Databricks for data manipulation and modeling.
  • Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
  • Ability to interpret complex data, structure ambiguous problems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in agriculture or ag-tech is strongly preferred.
  • Proactive, curious, adaptable, with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary range: $76,600 - $102,080 annually (varies by location, skills, and experience).
  • Eligibility for annual discretionary bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits including vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health support, and retirement plan with employer 401(k) contribution up to 7%.

  • Fully remote work with occasional travel (approximately 10%).
