Job summary

CBRE seeks a Data Analyst to perform basic analysis, ensuring data-backed recommendations. You will review data to improve effectiveness and predict outcomes for business intelligence within Data Science & Analytics.

Responsibilities include developing SQL queries, dashboards, data models, and ad-hoc reports, while collaborating with an agile team and presenting clear data stories to business lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with up to 1-4 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth experience with SQL, data visualization tools, ETL pipelines, and database management systems.
• Strong programming skills with Python for data analysis and evaluation tasks.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience analyzing information and applying standard practices to judgments.
• Organizational skills with a curious mindset.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL and other scripting languages to develop and maintain complex queries that pull and curate data from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and assets including scripts, tables, workflows, and supporting processes.
• Apply fundamental data structures and algorithms to solve problems.
• Define basic data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools (e.g. Python) to plan models and extract insights.
• Apply modeling and optimization methods to improve business performance.
• Develop and maintain data models, data automation systems, low-code solutions, and reporting systems.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting based on existing data sources.
• Exhibit rigor, judgment, and the ability to present a detailed 'data story'.
• Confirm the quality and integrity of existing data sources.
• Collaborate with the agile development team to improve processes and programs.
• Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
