The Data Analyst 2 works under supervision at the Higher Education Services Corporation to analyze financial education data, conduct statistical analysis on grants and scholarships spending, and prepare fiscal reports to inform policy decisions. The role includes supervising at least one Data Analyst 1, maintaining databases, and serving as a finance liaison to the Division of Budget.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or related field plus three years of experience in data visualization and statistical modeling
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling
• Experience with data mining tools, SAS, SQL, R, or Python
• Experience working with large datasets, confidential data, and relational databases
• Experience creating financial reports and knowledge of budget forecasting and costing
