Job summary

The Florida Board of Governors seeks a Data Analyst in the Office of Data & Analytics (ODA). This full-stack analyst delivers end-to-end data products across ODA’s data ecosystem, supports data governance and quality, and prepares analytical summaries to inform higher education decisions.

A Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience are required, with proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, or R, and in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of relational databases.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (SQL, SAS, Python, R).
• Proficiency in one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Completes work across ODA’s data ecosystem.
• Participates in large/long-range data projects.
• Conducts statistical and exploratory analyses to identify trends.
• Develops and maintains functions, procedures, and packages.
• Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Collaborates with business units to refine requirements for data requests.
• Documents workflows and ensures reproducibility of work.
• Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in data reporting.
• Continuously develops skills in data tools, languages, and methodologies.
