Job summary

Grossman Young & Hammond LLC is seeking a data-driven professional to advance decision-making through Power BI dashboards, data models, and automated workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps. You will collect, clean, and analyze data to uncover trends and opportunities, translating requirements into practical reporting solutions.

This full-time hybrid role in Silver Spring, MD involves collaborating with stakeholders and the firm’s IT team, ensuring data accuracy, security, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS or related field.
• Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Proficiency with Power BI data visualization and modeling.
• Experience with Power Automate for workflow customization and Power Apps for data collection.
• Strong Excel data analysis skills.
• Knowledge of databases, data structures, and data workflows.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in risk, change, and configuration management.
• Maintain system documentation and user guides.
• Act as technical lead and liaison with the firm’s managed IT provider.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support initiatives.

Job description

Support data-driven decision-making at Grossman Young & Hammond LLC by combining analysis, Power BI reporting, and workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and operational improvement opportunities
• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into practical reporting solutions
• Extract and integrate data from systems, databases, APIs, and linked data sources to improve reporting accuracy
• Convert analysis results into clear, actionable recommendations for users and leadership
• Develop tools, scripts, and workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps to automate data processing and create interactive forms
• Improve reporting assets, dashboards, systems, and processes to increase efficiency, scalability, and usability
• Ensure data capture is accurate and consistent in line with cybersecurity, privacy, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Participate in risk, change, and configuration management activities
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and user guides
• Act as a technical lead and liaison with the firm’s managed IT service provider
• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to support firm initiatives and maintain reliable systems
• Provide technical and data-related guidance to users and leadership
• Provide backup to the Billing and Accounting Manager as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports, using Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
• Proficiency in Power BI, including data visualization, dashboard development, and reporting
• Proficiency in Power Automate for workflow customization and Power Apps for streamlined data collection
• Strong Excel data analysis skills
• Knowledge of database design, data structures, data models, and data workflows
• Working knowledge of operating systems, networks, databases, and enterprise applications
• Ability to interpret business requirements and policies and translate them into technical and data-driven solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
• Detail-oriented with disciplined documentation practices
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively

Compensation

• Salary range: USD 65,000 - 75,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours/week
• Hybrid: if located within a fifty-mile radius of the office, work is completed in the office one day per week
