Job summary

Stadler Rail AG is seeking a Data Analyst to join onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah. You will collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to boost efficiency, optimize inventory, and strengthen production planning and decision-making.

The role emphasizes building Power BI dashboards, data visualization, and insights for Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data analytics within manufacturing or supply chain, strong SQL and Power BI skills,

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of data analyst experience in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Strong SQL skills with complex queries, views, và joins (or equivalents).
  • Advanced Power BI experience including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Proficiency in Excel with Pivot Tables and advanced formulas.
  • Experience with ERP data sources (SAP/Infor) and data warehouses.
  • Knowledge of KPI reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports for leadership.
  • Analyze manufacturing, inventory, procurement, logistics, and supply chain data for trends and opportunities.
  • Extract, validate, and interpret data from ERP systems (SAP, Infor) ensuring data integrity.
  • Apply analytical and BI skills to enable data-driven decisions and improve operations.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements and KPIs.
  • Monitor key metrics such as production efficiency, inventory levels, and forecast accuracy.
  • Conduct root-cause analyses to drive data-backed improvements.
  • Automate reporting processes and improve data accessibility and consistency.

Job description

Stadler Rail AG is building data-driven visibility across manufacturing and supply chain operations, and the Data Analyst role is central to that effort. In this onsite position in Salt Lake City, Utah, you will collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to help leadership improve efficiency, optimize inventory, and strengthen production planning and decision-making.

What you’ll do
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support actionable insights for Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain leadership.
  • Analyze manufacturing, inventory, procurement, logistics, and broader supply chain data to surface trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Extract, validate, and interpret data from ERP systems, including SAP and Infor, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across reporting outputs.
  • Apply advanced analytical and business intelligence skills to enable data-driven decisions and improve operational performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define reporting requirements, establish KPI metrics, and deliver insights that reflect business priorities.
  • Monitor and report key operational metrics such as production efficiency, inventory levels, forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, supplier performance, and capacity utilization.
  • Support continuous improvement by running root cause analyses and recommending data-backed solutions to improve manufacturing and supply chain outcomes.
  • Automate reporting processes and improve operational data accessibility, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Use SAP, Infor, and Power BI experience to translate complex business data into clear dashboards and reporting aligned to strategic and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT teams to optimize reporting capabilities and strengthen organizational decision-making.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst in a manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment.
  • Ability to write complex queries, including joins, views, aggregations, and performance-optimized SQL statements.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development, data modeling, DAX calculations, and Power Query.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis from relational databases.
  • Experience working with data warehouses, structured datasets, and enterprise reporting environments.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, trend analysis, forecasting, and data-driven performance measurement techniques.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining operational and executive KPI reporting.
  • Experience working with SAP and/or Infor ERP systems.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain performance metrics such as inventory turns, OTIF, OTD, forecast accuracy, production efficiency, and supplier performance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with Python or other analytical programming languages is preferred.
