Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data analyst to collect, report, and analyze health care data to support leadership, projects, and external stakeholders. You will build and present accurate reports from financial and clinical data, using Cognos and other tools.

The role requires 5+ years in health care or IT data roles, experience with Cerner data models, and a background in statistics. A master’s degree is preferred; a bachelor’s in a related field is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in health care and/or IT data roles.
• At least 2 years querying, reporting and presenting data with tools.
• Experience in an academic medical center.
• Knowledge of project management.
• Experience with statistical analysis software/tools.
• Experience with Cognos or similar financial programs.
• Understanding of the Cerner EMR data model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Admin, Public Health, IT, Nursing, or related field.
• Statistics coursework completed.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Admin, Public Health, IT, or related field.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a health care and/or IT role.
• Minimum 2 years of experience collecting, querying, reporting, analyzing, and presenting data using applications such as reporting tools, databases, spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, and graphics software.
• Previous experience in an academic medical center.
• Previous project management knowledge and skills.
• Experience with statistical analysis software/tools.
• Previous experience with Cognos or other financial management programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Cerner (Electronic Medical Record) data model.
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Information Technology, Nursing, or related clinical or Information Systems discipline from an accredited program, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Coursework in statistics.
• Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Information Technology or related clinical or Information Systems discipline from an accredited program.
