Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Data Analyst to support multiple Product Teams at a large non-profit payer/provider. You will analyze claims data, develop reporting and dashboards, gather requirements from business partners, perform data validation, and deliver actionable insights.

You will use SQL and Python to extract and interpret data across systems, collaborating with analysts, engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and impactful storytelling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst in health insurance/payer domain.
• Payer domain expertise and understanding of how claims data informs data needs.
• SQL to determine data to pull and how.
• Data visualization experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong communication and ability to translate data findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Analyze claims data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and operational insights.
• Partner with business users and product teams to gather requirements and translate into data solutions.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI (and/or Tableau).
• Use SQL and Python to extract, integrate, validate, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Support data quality, testing, validation, and documentation with cross-functional teams.

Job description

Duration:6-month contract-to-hire

Must Haves:

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst on the health insurance/payer side, integrating and analyzing complex data sources
• Payer domain expertise- Understands how the claims data is used on the backend to inform what data is needed
• Expertise in SQL to figure out what data to pull & how
• Data visualization experience (Power BI or Tableau)
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills- Ability to work directly with business partners and explain data clearly, to tell stories with data/communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Plusses:

• Domain expertise in pharmacy claims data, supporting areas such as:
• Formulary Analytics
• Medication Adherence
• MTM/Medication Therapy Management
• Rebate & Drug Cost Analytics
• Pharmacy Trend Reporting

OR payer domain experience with interoperability/FHIR

• Familiarity with Python
• Exposure to Azure Databricks/the cloud
• Data visualization experience (Power BI or Tableau)
• Agile/scrum experience (including tools like JIRA)
• Experience in migration from on prem to the cloud

• Partner with business users and product teams to gather requirements, understand user stories, and translate business needs into data solutions.
• Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI to support decision-making.
• Use SQL and Python to extract, integrate, validate, and interpret data from multiple systems and sources.
• Support data quality, testing, validation, and documentation efforts while working closely with analysts, engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders.

Compensation:

$55 - $65per hour
