Job summary

Everside Capital Partners is seeking a data operations professional in our New York office. This in-person role focuses on organizing and validating data from Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams to support reporting and communications.

You will maintain data in Excel/CRM systems, document workflows, and assist with automation reviews. You’ll join a market-focused firm active in lower middle market investing and capital management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business analytics, or related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of experience in data/operations roles.
  • Strong Excel and datasets handling.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Clear written and spoken communication; ability to document processes.
  • Willingness to learn SQL, Python, and Markdown/Obsidian.
  • Independent and collaborative work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and verify data from Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams.
  • Maintain data in Excel, Salesforce/CRM, and databases.
  • Support investor communications, portfolio reporting, and ad hoc data requests.
  • Reconcile information across source documents and datasets.
  • Document workflows, data definitions, SOPs, checklists, and source-to-output logic.
  • Assist with testing outputs from automation and data-processing workflows.
  • Manage quarterly data template ingestion: collection, standardization, validation.

Requirements

Must have:
  • We are looking for 1-3 years of experience in data operations, business operations, fund operations, or a similar analytical function.
  • We require a bachelors degree in finance, economics, business analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong Excel capability and ease working with structured datasets and recurring reporting cycles are important.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to manage follow-ups and unresolved questions across teams are essential.
  • Clear written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to document processes and convert business needs into structured data specifications.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn tools such as SQL, Python, and Markdown/Obsidian.
  • A strong work ethic, positive mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

  • We gather, organize, and verify information from our Investment, Investor Relations, and Operations teams.
  • We maintain data in internal systems such as Excel workbooks, Salesforce/CRM, and databases.
  • We support recurring investor communications, portfolio reporting, ongoing initiatives, and ad hoc data requests.
  • We reconcile information across source documents and internal datasets to ensure consistency.
  • We document workflows, data definitions, standard operating procedures, recurring checklists, and source-to-output logic so our processes remain repeatable and auditable.
  • We assist with testing and reviewing outputs from internal automation, data-processing, and coding-agent workflows.
  • We manage quarterly data template ingestion, including collection, standardization, and validation against prior-period figures.
