Job description

Maximus is currently hiring for a Data Analyst to join our Fed NSA team. This is a remote opportunity. The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data to help solve business problems and provide detailed insights to management. They will design reports based on requestor requirements, define data needs, gather and validate data, and highlight key areas to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Database administration, data consolidation, analysis, and management reporting.
2. Design database reports supporting key business strategies.
3. Perform queries, data extraction, manipulation, and analysis for reporting solutions.
4. Monitor customer usage, upgrades, and reporting tools; ensure query security.
5. Create user guides and train users on reports.
6. Experience with Salesforce, developing reports, dashboards, and Data Loader.
7. Define data requirements, validate data, analyze, and present outputs.
8. Develop reports, dashboards, and data extracts in operational settings.
9. Proficient use of MS Excel for data organization, analysis, and presentation.
10. Develop visualization objects in Excel or BI tools.
11. Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
13. Coordinate across departments and levels.
14. Work independently and as part of a team, proactively identifying requirements.
15. Ensure report accuracy and quality before delivery.
16. Generate routine reports (daily, weekly, monthly) on productivity, finance, and performance.
17. Respond to ad hoc reporting requests.
18. Complete other duties as assigned.
19. Complete background and identity checks within 90 days of onboarding.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience, or equivalent.
• Availability to work between 8:00am-5:00pm EST, Monday - Friday.
• Experience in reporting/business intelligence functions.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with the Federal No-Surprises Act (NSA) IDR process.
• Experience with SQL queries or SAS.
• Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word mail merge.
• Experience with RPA processes and virtual desktops.
• Experience with Genesys Call Center Software.
