Job summary

Georgetown University’s Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit seeks a Data Analyst to support data entry into sponsor systems and internal software. Qualifications

• 3 years of experience working with clinical trials and supporting a clinical trial research staff, or a similar health care setting

• Experience with Workday a plus
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and have the capacity to interact with a diverse community
• Must pay close attention to detail, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and use independent judgement and discretion in determining the best course of action.
• Ability to work with large data sets
• Strong knowledge and familiarity of Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to create and document procedures for training materials
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• General knowledge of clinical research

Responsibilities

• Enter data into clinical trial sponsor system and internal software
• Assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager
• Interact with the clinical trial sponsor and internal software; schedule visits in Google Calendar
• Ensure data between Georgetown GMS and sponsor match
• Escalate data discrepancies to the Clinical Trial Manager
• Develop understanding of research processes
• Document business requirements of research processes
• Partner with clinical staff to help with data requirements of research functions
• Create and document instructions for complex tasks so that others may use a guideline in the future
• Test applications to confirm intended functionality, as well as identify gaps
• Assist with the creation of user training materials
• Document technical processes, as needed
• Verifies that recommended solutions align with research requirements
• Develops understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies
• Effectively communicates with customers, internal resources and support teams to ensure objectives are met
• Collaborates with clinical and research resources to identify and develop process improvements
• Assists with the testing and implementation of new system functionality
• Participates in cross functional teams to gather clinical and research needs in order to identify effective solutions
• Performs other projects and duties as assigned by the Clinical Research Manager

Job Overview

Data Analyst for Infectious Diseases Clinical Trials Unit will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by entering data into clinical trial sponsor system, as well as internal software.

Work Interactions

The Data Analyst will work with and assist the Clinical Research Coordinator, Regulatory Specialist, and Clinical Trial Manager by interacting with the clinical trial sponsor and also their propriety software for data entry. The Data Analyst may interact with clinical trial subjects to plan visits to the clinical trial, as well as schedule the subjects in Google Calendar. The Data Analyst will work with the Clinical Trial Coordinator and also Financial Administrator to ensure data between Georgetown GMS and clinical trial sponsor match. The Data Analyst will escalates necessary issues, such as data discrepancies, when discovered to the Clinical Trial Manager.

Pay Range

Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $26.26 - $48.32. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
