Job summary

Stratolaunch is seeking a Data Analyst at level I or II to support air-launched hypersonic vehicle testing from Mojave, CA. The role involves interfacing with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and program management to develop data-driven test plans and analyses.

Ideal candidates will know data cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization, plus programming for data analysis, with willingness to obtain a SECRET-level clearance. Hybrid on-site/remote work may be considered.

Qualifications

Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effect­ive platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Stratolaunch is seeking a level I or II Data Analyst to support air-launched hypersonic vehicles. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of various data analytical concepts, programming languages, and tools. This role involves interfacing with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and program management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with design team to develop analytical approaches for data collection/ aggregation/analysis

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of data cleaning, analysis, modeling and visualization techniques

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the SECRET or above level
Required Skills
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Project)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with an aerospace engineering development/modification program
  • Experience wearing multiple hats in a small team environment
  • Experience defining, managing, and verifying requirements for hypersonic vehicles with hot-structure airframes
  • Experience translating operational analysis into system requirements
  • Active security clearance
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with CAD (NX Preferred)
  • Experience with configuration management systems such as Jira, Git, etc.
  • Experience with requirement management systems such as Jama, Cameo, DOORS, etc.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Level I ($83,000-$120,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Level II ($101,079-$146,500): Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from accredited institution and 2-5 years of engineering experience, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable
  • Position based in Mojave, CA. Consideration for hybrid (partial remote/on-site work) work location arrangement for well-qualified candidates and remote (outside of CA) work location arrangement for exceptional candidates.
  • Travel, as needed, to support the department. Travel estimated to be <5%

Base salary and leveling are established on a case-by-case basis.
