Job Summary
The Alternative Investments Data Analytics & Automation Consultant will support the Alts Solutions – Data Strategy ("ADS") team within Global Distribution. This hands‑on role combines data analysis, reporting, process improvement and automation. The analyst will maintain critical Alts reporting, build dashboards and data workflows, improve data quality and help translate business needs into practical solutions for Sales, Management, Operations and a variety of other stakeholders. The position is well suited for a growth‑oriented analyst who's skilled in building with data, solving operational problems and turning recurring questions into reliable, reusable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and improve recurring and ad‑hoc reporting supporting:
- Trade lifecycle, transaction status and reconciliation
- Generating insights from sales, flows, activities and opportunities
- Fundraising and management reporting
- Advisor, firm and industry targeting/intelligence
- Product and platform readiness
- Write SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, reconciliation, validation and automation.
- Develop and support ETL workflows, pipelines and scheduled processes.
- Create clear, intuitive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI or similar tools.
- Automate manual reporting, data preparation, validation, notifications and exception‑management processes.
- Monitor production workflows, investigate data issues and implement durable fixes.
- Improve the accuracy, timeliness and consistency of data products and business reporting.
- Gather and document requirements; support testing, releases and user adoption.
- Maintain process documentation, business rules, data definitions and operating procedures.
- Partner with Sales, Operations and enterprise data teams to deliver prioritized initiatives.
- Experience with agentic‑AI development, best practices, context optimization and quality assurance techniques.
Required Skills
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with ETL, data transformation, data validation and relational or cloud‑based data environments.
- Experience creating dashboards in Tableau, Power BI or a comparable visualization platform.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with close attention to data quality.
- Ability to explain technical findings clearly to business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ownership, curiosity and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Git, APIs or workflow‑orchestration tools.
- Exposure to financial services, asset management or alternative investments.
- Familiarity with sales, CRM, transaction, flow, advisor or product data.
- Experience improving Excel or other manual reporting processes through scalable automation.
- Familiarity with approved AI-assisted development tools.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, computer science, information systems, engineering, finance, economics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience
- Two or more years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data operations or reporting.
