Job description

Maximus is currently hiring for a Data Analyst to join our Fed NSA team. This is a remote opportunity. The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing complex data to help solve business problems and to provide detailed business insights to management. They will design reports based on the requestor’s requirements in support of key business strategies and be responsible for defining data requirements, gathering and validating data, applying judgment, and highlighting areas of note to management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for database administration, data consolidation, data analysis, and management reporting.
2. Design database reports based on the requestor’s requirements in support of key business strategies.
3. Perform queries, data extraction, manipulation, and analysis to provide reporting solutions.
4. Monitor customer usage, upgrades, and reporting tools; monitor queries and ensure security of various components.
5. Create user guides and train on use of database reports, as necessary.
6. Experience with Salesforce; developing reports, dashboards, and Data Loader.
7. Ability to define data requirements, gather and validate data, apply analysis, and present output.
8. Experience in day-to-day operational setting developing reports, dashboards, and data extracts.
9. Exceptionally proficient use of MS Excel to organize, summarize (analyze), and present data.
10. Capability to develop visualization objects in Excel or other BI tools.
11. Excellent critical thinking, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
12. Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
13. Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
14. Ability to work independently; a self-motivator, and work as part of a team, proactively seeking out requirements.
15. Commitment to quality work, ensuring reports are error-free before providing deliverables to management.
16. Create user guides and train on use of reports and dashboards.
17. Generate routine reports (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.) including productivity, finance, and project performance.
18. Respond to and execute ad hoc reporting requests submitted by management.
19. Complete other duties assigned by management.
20. Completion of extensive background check and identity proofing within 90 days of onboarding, which may include credit check, student loan review, or requests for specific documentation (social security card, state-issued ID, etc.).
21. Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
22. Ability to work a schedule between 8:00 am-5:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.
23. Experience in a reporting/business intelligence function is required.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with the Federal No-Surprises Act (NSA) Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process.
• Experience with testing and aggregating results from SQL queries or SAS.
• Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word mail merge functionality.
• Experience with Automation Anywhere, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and use of multiple virtual desktops.
• Experience with Genesys Call Center Software.

Home Office Requirements:

• Internet speed of 20 Mbps or higher required; 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity (test at www.speedtest.net).
• Minimum 5 Mbps upload speed.
• Connectivity via Wi-Fi or Category 5/6 Ethernet cable to the home router.
• Private work area and adequate power source.
• Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US.

Pay Transparency:

Maximus's compensation is based on various factors, including location, education, experience, work quality, travel requirements, market conditions, and internal pay structures. The annual salary range is $58,400 to $63,500. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, paid holidays, and paid time off. Salary history is not considered in compensation decisions. Maximus complies with all minimum wage and salary threshold regulations.
