Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Data & AI leader to shape and deliver data-driven solutions for insurance sector clients. You will drive end-to-end data architecture, governance, and transformation programs, working across policy, claims, billing, and reinsurance domains.

Lead modernization to cloud platforms, establish data integration with Guidewire and third-party data providers, and partner with CIOs/CDOs on data strategy and GenAI adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Computer Science is required.
• Experience with data architecture and data management practices.
• Familiarity with data quality, data catalogs and governance.
• Knowledge of AI/GenAI concepts and LLM orchestration.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong SQL and Python skills; exposure to Spark an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of customer landscape and drive Data & AI growth; identify opportunities and present business value to executives.
• Introduce industry trends and emerging technology perspectives in discussions.
• Lead end‑to‑end solutioning for Data and AI opportunities.
• Contextualize TCS Data solutions for customers.
• Define target‑state architecture and transformation roadmap.
• Develop enterprise data models for core insurance functions (policy, claims, billing).
• Evaluate tools, run proofs of concept, propose options.
• Lead modernization and cloud migration (Azure, AWS).
• Define data integration strategies across internal systems and third‑party providers.
• Drive data quality, lineage, and governance in compliance with regulations.
• Support analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML initiatives by ensuring data readiness.

• Strong understanding of insurance data domains: policy, claims, billing, underwriting, actuarial, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with Data Architecture – Data Products, Semantic Layer, Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Data Quality.
• Strong understanding of RAG, Agentic AI, LLM Orchestration, Vector Databases.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS Redshift, AWS Glue, Snowflake).
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and data warehousing.
• Experience with tools such as SQL, Python, Spark, Informatica, Talend, DataStage.
• Experience working with CIOs/CDOs on defining data strategies, data modernization, AI/GenAI adoption strategies.

• Lead the modernization of legacy systems and migration to cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Define data integration strategies across internal systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek) and third‑party data providers (e.g., ISO, LexisNexis).
• Drive solutions for data quality, lineage, and governance in compliance with industry regulations (e.g., NAIC, SOX).
• Support advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI/ML initiatives by ensuring data readiness and accessibility.
