IBM Consulting is seeking a Consultant, AI and Data Engineer to join our growing team of experts. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and applied AI: you will build Snowflake Data Cloud foundations that enterprise AI depends on, and you will build the AI solutions that run on top of them for clients.

The ideal candidate will be a strong pipeline builder who collaborates with solution architects, data analysts, and data scientists to deliver production-grade AI and data

Qualifications

• Spanning data engineering and applied AI; consulting experience desirable.
• Strong SQL and Python; experience with dbt, Spark, or Snowpark for transformation.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses on cloud platforms (Snowflake preferred).
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications: prompt engineering, embeddings, and orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines and data warehouse/models on Snowflake.
• Develop and deploy LLM-based applications and ML models for clients.
• Prepare data for AI consumption including vector search and semantic layers.
• Implement cloud deployments with CI/CD, IaC, and cost/performance optimization.
• Collaborate with architects, data analysts, and data scientists to deliver production-grade solutions.
• Ensure data governance, privacy, and compliance across data and AI components.
