Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Data & AI Architect/Lead Engineer to drive design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Data and AI solutions. You will combine hands-on technical leadership with solution architecture across data platforms, GenAI/LLM use cases, and intelligent automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Engineering / Data Platforms with strong technical leadership experience.
• Strong system design, solution architecture, development and delivery capabilities.
• Strong experience in business operation and insights in one or more areas such as Workforce mgmt., Software Asset mgmt., Supply Chain, Financials, Budget and Forecast.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, ETL/ELT and distributed data processing.
• Experience with Spark and large-scale data architecture.
• Strong cloud experience with GCP, AWS or Azure; GCP preferred.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, Conversational AI, AI agents, Agentic Workflows and GenAI application development.
• Understanding of ML/AI lifecycle, model integration, evaluation and production deployment.
• Proven experience leading complex programs involving multiple engineering and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in a high-speed, highly technical client environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Data & AI solution design, architecture, development and delivery.
• Design and develop scalable data modeling, data quality, data pipelines, data platforms and analytics solutions across structured and unstructured data.
• Drive GenAI/LLM use cases, including RAG, AI agents, conversational AI and intelligent automation.
• Translate business problems into data products, AI solutions and technical roadmaps.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Python, SQL, APIs, ETL/ELT and cloud data platforms.
• Establish best practices for data quality, governance, observability, security and performance.
• Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, design decisions and engineering standards.
• Guide and mentor Data Engineers, AI Engineers and offshore engineering teams.
• Own delivery outcomes including quality, timelines, risks and stakeholder communication.
