Job summary

Lilly’s RTP site in North Carolina is seeking a Data & AI Architect to lead data architecture and AI governance for manufacturing, quality, and supply chain. You will design scalable data foundations and integrate AI capabilities within GMP controls to ensure trustworthy analytics.

This senior role oversees data models, metadata standards, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and AI workflows, partnering with site teams to deliver measurable value across operations. Travel up to 10% is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• 8+ years in data architecture/engineering roles, preferably in manufacturing or pharma.
• Proficient in cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS) and data governance.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of GMP data integrity (ALCOA+) and CSV/GAMP5.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the RTP site data architecture with canonical data models for manufacturing, quality, and supply chain domains.
• Adopt MQ data integration strategies and enable site-specific AI/ML use cases.
• Establish metadata standards and data governance to ensure AI-ready data.
• Own data lifecycle policies and GMP data integrity compliance across site data domains.
• Define AI platform architecture and governance for enterprise tools at the site level.
