Ontivity is seeking a DAS Technician II in Texas to install, test, and troubleshoot DAS, Small Cell, and Public Safety systems. The role includes leading small crews, interpreting RF design packages, and providing daily project updates.
Safety-focused position with travel 80-100% and potential for OT. OSHA 10 preferred; HS diploma required. Beneficial for candidates with 0-2 years telecom experience and ability to read drawings.
Experienced field technician responsible for independently installing, testing, troubleshooting, and leading small DAS installation crews. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Safety First – Put safety first and production second. Always.
Lead crews of up to two technicians as assigned.
Perform installation of DAS, Small Cell, and Public Safety systems.
Perform Sweep, PIM, Fiber, and RF testing per MOPs.
Troubleshoot RF, fiber, and equipment issues.
Interpret construction drawings and RF design packages.
Mentor Technician I personnel.
Provide daily project updates.
Ability to lift 20-50+ pounds and work at heights, on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Travel approximately 80-100%, including overnight assignments.
Valid driver's license required.
High School Diploma or GED.
0-2 years of telecommunications or construction experience preferred.
Knowledge of wireless construction safety practices.
Ability to read construction drawings and follow installation procedures.
OSHA 10 preferred (OSHA 30 preferred for senior roles).
Full-time Typical Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM with overtime as required.
