Summary

The DAS Technician supports all aspects of DAS/Small Cell installations, including site construction and maintenance. Responsibilities include ensuring safety and quality standards are met, troubleshooting RF and fiber issues, and maintaining project timelines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence.

This is a safety-sensitive position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety above all; always adhere to safety protocols.
  • Install DAS equipment, including antennas, coaxial cable, and couplers.
  • Interpret blueprints, design drawings, and project documents.
  • Troubleshoot RF and fiber line issues.
  • Terminate coaxial cables.
  • Perform line sweeps and PIM testing.
  • Maintain project timelines and report job status daily.
  • Take and tag photographs as needed.
  • Ensure work complies with safety and quality guidelines.
  • Stay current with industry trends through ongoing professional development.
  • Work towards relevant training and certifications.
  • Uphold safety and quality control standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

  • Operate in field environments; able to bend, squat, climb, lift 20-50 lbs, and work in various positions.
  • Willing to travel out of market/state for extended periods.
  • Work long and unpredictable hours as needed.
  • Pass pre-employment screening, including DOT physical, background check, and drug testing.
  • Work in all weather conditions and environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment.
  • Knowledge of wireless standards (LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi).
  • Ability to obtain a scissor lift certification.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

  • Team player who can work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and carry out tasks accurately.

Position Details

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed.
  • Travel required 80-100% weekly.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • RF engineering, telecommunications, or electronics certifications preferred.
  • Experience with DAS installation and troubleshooting preferred.
