TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a Cell Site Shakedown Technician for our team to support the final stage of wireless network deployments, ensuring newly integrated sites are fully functional, meet quality standards, and are customer ready. This position plays a critical role in validating site readiness through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end site validation after construction and integration is complete (shakedown).
• Inspect physical installations: grounding, power connections, RF cables, fiber, jumpers, labeling, and equipment mounts.
• Conduct RF path and fiber continuity tests using tools such as OTDR, PIM testers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Verify functionality of radios, antennas, basebands, routers, and all associated transmission equipment.
• Validate all alarms (dry/wet contact, external), GPS lock, and software load status.
• Run configuration checks and assist with software loads or reboots when required.
• Coordinate with field teams, integration engineers, and NOC to resolve site-level issues.
• Perform call testing, data throughput validation, and E911 tests (as required).
• Complete detailed Shakedown Reports, including photos, test logs, and pass/fail documentation.
• Escalate and track defects until closure.
• Travel to site locations across assigned market(s).

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in telecom field operations, site commissioning, or integration.
• Familiar with Samsung, Nokia, or Ericsson wireless equipment (CDU, FSU, BBUs, RRUs, routers).
• Strong understanding of LTE/5G site architecture, power requirements, RF paths, and backhaul.
• Experience using RF and fiber test tools: OTDR, PIM, VSWR, Anritsu, FiberScope, etc.
• Familiarity with site documentation standards: RFDS, MOPs, close-out packages.
• Comfortable working independently in field environments.
• Ability to read site diagrams, power schematics, and rack layouts.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 90%.
• OSHA 10 and RF Safety certifications preferred.
• Preferred Tools/Skills:
• OTDR (EXFO, JDSU), Spectrum Analyzer, Anritsu Site Master

• Samsung MMBS, FSU, VDU, Nokia BB6630/6648, IXRE routers

• Mobile apps or internal tools for data logging and photo upload.
