Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician I - DAS to perform field service tasks, installing antennas, repeaters, head-end equipment and DAS devices, and learning sweep, PIM and fiber testing.

The role is onsite in Johnstown, OH, with potential travel and hands-on use of RF testing gear; you will complete documentation and maintain safety standards while advancing through a defined career path.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• 0-1 year experience in DAS/public safety and cell carrier integrations.
• Willingness to learn new systems and obtain certifications.
• PIM testing experience preferred.
• Experience with DAS equipment: fiber, coax, antennas and repeaters.

Responsibilities

• Install DAS wireless equipment and related cabling at customer sites.
• Commission and optimize DAS and signal booster equipment for public safety.
• Conduct RF signal readings per code and perform cable sweep tests.
• Troubleshoot systems and document issues and fixes.
• Complete job documentation and coordinate with customers on requirements.
