Job summary

Altasciences seeks a Study Supervisor to support regulated DART studies in GLP-compliant settings. You will perform specialized procedures, reproductive assessments, and data collection while upholding animal welfare and scientific integrity.

The role requires handling rats and rabbits, teamwork with Study Directors and Veterinary Services, and training staff across procedures. Join a fast-paced CRO delivering valuable nonclinical insights for drug development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with laboratory animals in a research environment with gestational models and reproductive toxicology procedures.
• Ability to perform rat and rabbit handling and procedural techniques safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow written protocols and SOPs accurately.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory DART studies for rats and rabbits including fertility and developmental studies.
• Observe animals and report health, behavior, appetite, activity, or well‑being changes.
• Perform study procedures according to approved protocols, SOPs, and GLP requirements.
• Collect biological samples such as blood and urine.
• Assist with anesthesia, catheter placement, and other technical procedures.
• Train staff on technical procedures including injections, blood draws, and fetal collections.
• Monitor study progress to ensure adherence to timelines and guidelines.
• Create, review, and revise SOPs related to animals and procedures.
