Job summary

SPA seeks a Project Technical Lead to provide on-site support at DARPA in Arlington, VA. You will manage technical programs, assess risk, and communicate progress to the Program Manager. A strong DARPA background and TS/SCI clearance are required.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical depth, and hands-on execution across complex defense programs, with up to 15% travel and full-time onsite work at DARPA HQ.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM); may substitute a non-technical degree with demonstrated technical acumen.
• 20+ years of experience with at least 10 years in one or more DARPA programs.
• Recognized as a lead authority in one or more technical or scientific fields.
• Demonstrated skills in conceiving, planning, and conducting research and analysis in difficult technological problem areas.
• Active DoW TS/SCI clearance.
• Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills, with mature judgment and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with software suites such as Microsoft 365, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to work fully onsite at DARPA's HQ in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Apply a strong technical background and proactive attitude in support of DARPA programs; understand processes, procedures, and culture.
• Provide management support to execute day-to-day requirements and assess performance progress and risks.
• Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and literature reviews to support program decisions and concept development.
