Job summary

Los Alamos National Laboratory seeks a DDC Operator to support the DARHT Experiments and Radiographic Science group. You will operate the central control system for experiment timing, firing sequences, and data acquisition in a high‑stakes research environment.

Role requires an Associates' Degree and related electronic experience, with strong emphasis on safety and formal procedures. On‑site work in Los Alamos, NM with potential for DOE clearance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Hands-on technical experience with electronic systems.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures with safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate experiment timing and triggering with Axis I and Axis II accelerators.
• Interface with DARHT Accelerator, Firing Site, Vessel, and Diagnostic operations.
• Execute firing sequences following approved procedures with strict adherence to policies.
• Manage critical data acquisition from experiments.
• Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting efforts.
• Operate the DDC during hydrotests and experiments at DARHT.
