Weissman is seeking a Patternmaker in St. Louis, MO to translate design concepts into accurate patterns and manage grading across sizes.

You will collaborate with Design and Technical Design to ensure fit and aesthetic intent, using 3D visualization to evaluate silhouette and construction. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of patternmaking experience, strong CAD skills (Lectra Modaris), and a passion for craftsmanship in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of patternmaker/design/technical designer experience in apparel.
• Advanced manual and digital patternmaking with garment draping.
• Experience with 3D garment visualization environments.

Responsabilités

• Draft initial patterns in base sizes and apply grading to maintain design intent.
• Apply grading across size ranges for multiple styles to prepare full production patterns.
• Review pattern specs against garments and coordinate updates with Technical Design.
• Dress styles in 3D visualization software to evaluate silhouette and construction.
• Participate in development fit sessions and implement pattern adjustments.
• Collaborate with Design, Technical Design, Sourcing, Product Development, and QA for seamless execution.
• Attend Technical Design handovers to communicate pattern details clearly.
• Track tasks against schedules using internal tools.
• Guide junior patternmakers on corrections and Weissman fit standards.
• Maintain and update the core pattern block library for consistency.
