Job summary

NDI New Mexico is seeking Dance Teaching Artists for both full-time and part-time roles in our After-School and Outreach Programs. Candidates should have a strong professional dance performance background and a passion for dance education, with opportunities in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

Roles include teaching, choreography, and potential program leadership based on experience. Positions range from entry-level to Assistant Director level, with work spanning school partnerships, after-school

Qualifications

Professional dance performance experience preferred.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in teaching, choreography, arts production/administration.
Experience teaching in outreach programs preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Artistic- Teaching and Choreography: Teaches in NDI New Mexico In-school programs, including creating lesson plans and choreography aligned with curriculum, in collaboration with colleagues and directors of multiple programs.
Teaching After-School classes in discipline areas such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, or other styles; coordinate lesson plans and choreography for performances.
Artistic opportunities including summer programs and workshops; potential for directing programs based on experience.
