Dance Teacher-Elementary, Middle (NY)- SY 25-26

Excellence Community Schools (ECS) is seeking a dedicated Dance Teacher for elementary and middle school students in NY for the 2025-2026 school year. ECS supports schools in the Bronx, NY, and Stamford, CT, with a focus on preparing students for success in top high schools through a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dance instruction in various settings, using effective techniques tailored to student goals
• Organize instructional materials to maximize learning
• Use assessment tools to set goals and measure student performance
• Follow behavior management policies and participate in relevant meetings and activities
• Maintain compliance with policies and complete necessary documentation
• Foster positive relationships with staff, students, parents, and outside agencies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred
• NY State Teaching Certification in grades 1-6 or 7-12 preferred
• Minimum 2 years of dance teaching experience with children in an urban school setting
• Passion for teaching dance and developing dance programs for children
