Dance Connection in Islip, NY is seeking qualified dance teachers for ages 2–7 to join our Terrific Twos, Preschool and Combo programs for the 2025-2026 season. We value a love of teaching, strong classroom management, and reliable communication with staff.

Positions require weekday morning, Saturday and Sunday morning/afternoon availability, with a focus on a supportive, team-based teaching environment near Suffolk and Nassau counties. Exclusivity within 10 miles is requested.

Qualifications

• Love of teaching children and dedication to arts education.
• Extensive experience as a dance teacher.
• Effective classroom management skills for students and assistants.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, organized, proactive and friendly attitude.
• Ability to utilize the internet and email.
• Exclusivity from other studios within 10 miles, unless approved.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• BA/BFA in Dance is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities
