Position

Somerset Hills YMCA is looking for high-energy, enthusiastic and professional individuals for the position of Dance Instructor. You will choreograph and teach tap, ballet, hip hop to various ages (pre-school and elementary school). This job is fully on-site, not remote.

Responsibilities

• Choreograph and teach dance styles including tap, ballet, hip hop, lyrical and jazz to assigned age groups.
• Create engaging lesson plans and ensure student progress.
• Provide stimulation, security and supervision.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and build relationships with members, children and staff.

Qualifications

• Solid background as a well-rounded dancer (tap, ballet, lyrical, jazz and hip-hop).
• At least 2 years of experience teaching dance to children.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with members, children, and staff.
