Job summary

Glacial Community YMCA is seeking a passionate Dance Instructor to create a fun, positive environment where kids develop dance skills, confidence, and self-expression through Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Poms. You’ll guide a safe, engaging class experience for youth, while promoting movement and teamwork.

Schedule includes Wednesday and/or Thursday evenings; experience in program instruction is preferred, and you must obtain CPR, AED, First Aid, and related certifications within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to teach dance routines specific to offered programming.
• Program instruction experience preferred.
• Certifications must be obtained and maintained within 90 days: CPR, AED, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

The YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Dance Instructor to create a fun, positive, and encouraging environment where children can develop dance skills, build confidence, and express themselves through movement. Some of the dance styles that we teach in our classes include: Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Poms. If you enjoy working with youth and sharing your love of dance, we'd love to have you on our team!

Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Individuals in this position may be subject to all elements of weather and loud facilities.
