DeKalb Park District is seeking a part-time Dance Assistant Instructor to assist with planning, instructing, and monitoring dance classes and performances. You will help maintain a safe, enjoyable atmosphere for participants and work under the Lead Dance Instructor and Cultural Arts & Special Events Manager.
Required are 16+ years old, prior dance experience, and ability to work Monday afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings.

CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Assist with planning, instructing, and monitoring dance classes and performances while maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for class participants.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Lead Dance Instructor and Cultural Arts & Special Events Manager
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the physical and mental ability to execute the instruction and teaching requirements of the Dance program. The employee may be required to lift up to 25 lbs. independently.
