Job description

Employment Type: Independent Contractor (part-time)
Salary: $15 – $18/hour (based on experience)
Location: Simpsonville, SC

Job Description

  • Attend scheduled rehearsals with choreographer to learn dance routines, and assist with creating choreography as needed, for digital content and stage performances
  • Participate in Company rehearsals and demonstrate learned routines and/or technique to dancers; assist with teaching routines, as needed.
  • Lead warm-ups, stretches, and other dance exercises/drills for rehearsals and classes.
  • Attend and provide feedback on auditions and callbacks of incoming Company dancers.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, research, coordination and scheduling, and social media management.

Experience & Education Requirements

  • 4+ years of formal dance training/ schooling
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Demonstrated strong technique and performance experience in different styles of dance
  • Proficiency with social media applications, Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from rehearsals and performances
  • Access to and/or ownership of a computer to perform administrative tasks.

  • Video submission of applicant performing two 1-minute dances of varying styles.
  • Work resume demonstrating professional working experience
  • Headshot & performance resume denoting a compilation of performance experience, dance history, training, education, performance/competitive awards, etc.
  • Optional – Electronic Press Kit (EPK), choreography/dancer reel, or link to dedicated social media page with dancer’s performances/choreography.
