Job summary

Secretariat is seeking a detail‑oriented analyst to join the Damages & Valuations team in the United States. You will collaborate with accountants, economists, PhDs, and investment analysts to investigate complex issues, analyze data, and translate financial information into clear insights that inform high‑stakes client matters.

You will build models, assess damages, and develop valuation analyses while preparing client‑facing reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new concepts.
• Interest or experience in economic consulting, litigation support, valuation, damages analysis, finance, accounting, data analysis, or research‑intensive work.
• Experience with research projects, theses, internships, or data analytics work demonstrating ownership of complex work.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Stata, R, Python, or SQL is helpful; eagerness to expand technical skills.
• Comfort working with data, clear communication, and proactive organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in uncovering facts, analyzing financial information, and developing insights for high-stakes client matters.
• Analyze financial statements, business records, market data, and other evidence to quantify damages and support valuation work.
• Build models, organize data, and develop analyses that explain financial issues clearly.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and client-ready materials from analyses.
• Collaborate with senior consultants and experts across litigation support, valuation, and economic consulting.
