Job summary

Secretariat seeks an entry-level associate for its Damages & Valuations team, combining finance, data, and law to quantify damages and inform valuation in complex disputes. You will analyze data, build models, and translate findings into clear insights for leading firms and institutions.

You’ll collaborate with accountants, PhDs, and industry experts in a fast-moving environment, gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to international matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a rigorous analytic field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative.
• Interest or experience in economic consulting, litigation support, valuation, or related research.
• Experience with research projects, internships, or theses demonstrating ownership.
• Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Stata, R, Python, or SQL.
• Comfort working with data and using AI tools to improve efficiency and rigor.
• Fluency in English for business communication; CPA/CFA/CVA/ASA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dig into case documents, research materials, and discovery records to understand facts.
• Analyze financial statements and market data to quantify damages and support valuation.
• Build models, organize data, and develop analyses explaining financial issues clearly.
• Contribute to reports, presentations, and client-ready materials with insights.
• Collaborate with senior consultants and experts on litigation support and valuation.
