Job summary

ARKUPS is an underground utility locating company that provides a reliable locate service to prevent damage during construction. As a Damage Prevention Specialist, you will work independently in the field, identifying and marking subsurface utilities and coordinating with contractors and the public to promote safety and the Arkansas 811 law.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, utility records and electronic prints.
• Ability to distinguish colors accurately to mark utilities according to industry-standard color codes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mark the location of partner subsurface utilities to prevent damage during construction.
• Interact with contractors, co-workers and the public to maintain effective working relationships.
• Promote the Arkansas 811 law to prevent damage.

ARKUPS is an underground utility locating company that provides a reliable, cost-effective locate service that ensures public safety by preventing damage to our partner's facilities. We have been in business for 28 years and our foundation is built on Teamwork that is based on trust, open communication, respect, professionalism and innovation. As a Damage Prevention Specialist, you will work independently, and will be responsible for identifying and marking the location of all partner subsurface utilities to minimize damage or disruption of service due to construction excavation activities. This includes interacting with contractors, co-workers and the general public in person, by telephone and/or email to establish and maintain effective working relationships while promoting the Arkansas 811 law to prevent damage.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Authorized to work in the United States.


• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record and background.

Skills:
