HDR is seeking Professional Engineers to enhance our Hydropower Practice in Newark, NJ. Successful candidates will engage in innovative hydropower, dam safety projects, and engineering assessments. Our ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, have at least 8 years of relevant experience, and possess a PE license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Geotechnical, Geological, Civil/Structural, Hydrology & Hydraulics.
• Commitment to quality, teamwork, innovative problem-solving.
• Specific hydropower industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams.
• Prepare contract documents including specifications and cost estimates.
• Act as independent project engineer overseeing QA/QC and mentorship.

Skills

Engineering analysis and design

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
