Job summary

HDR is seeking Professional Engineers to join our Hydropower Practice, focusing on hydropower and dam safety projects. This role involves supporting inspections and engineering assessments of dams, conducting analyses and preparations for hydraulic structures, and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a PE license, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Hybrid work locations are offered across the United States, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and retirement savings plans.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Experience with hydropower/pumped-storage projects regulated by FERC.
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support inspections and engineering assessments of existing dams.
  • Conduct analyses, evaluations, and designs for hydraulic structures.
  • Travel as required for project needs.
