Job summary

HDR is actively seeking EITs and Professional Engineers to join our Hydropower Practice across the United States. The Dam Safety EIT will support inspections, analyses, and design work for dams, spillways, and related hydraulic structures, contributing to innovative projects in hydropower and dam safety.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Geotechnical engineering degree, with 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in Bentley/GeoStudio tools, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering.
• 5+ years of professional civil/geotechnical experience.
• Experience with dams, water conveyances, and hydropower infrastructure.
• Proficient with MS Office, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support inspections and assessments of dams and water structures.
• Analyze designs and prepare options with calculations.
• Prepare contract documents and cost estimates for hydraulic works.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on hydropower projects.
• Assist with risk assessments for dams and hydraulic structures.
• Travel may be required.
