Job summary

Scotiabank in Dallas invites ambitious undergraduates and graduates to join the U.S. Internal Audit Summer Analyst Program. This hands-on internship introduces you to the field of Internal Audit, focusing on assessing design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls across U.S.

business lines. You'll work with experienced professionals on real-world projects and participate in interactive learning sessions.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's and Master’s degree between December 2027 and August 2028 in Business, Accounting, Science, Engineering, Economics, or Math.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office required.
Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal).
Record of outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement.

Responsibilities

Review and evaluate the business control environment and provide assurance over activities.
Develop understanding of Scotiabank’s Audit methodology.
Understand the business line and its risks and processes for assigned projects.
Learn to audit and assist with execution of Audit work.
Determine the effectiveness and reliability of internal controls.
Assist with issue identification and completion of Audit Reports.
Support the Audit Professional Practice Director with initiatives like risk assessment and planning.
Manage time, take direction, communicate effectively and show initiative.
