Job summary

Holder Construction in Dallas, TX is seeking an Engineer to join our Preconstruction team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on cost estimation, quantity surveying, and coordinating with trades while supporting BIM processes.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in construction management or related field, have 2–5 years of experience, strong communication and time management skills, and are proficient in Word, Excel, and scheduling software. Willingness to relocate is preferred.

• 2–5 years of experience in construction management, preconstruction, or estimating.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Manage cost and design issues throughout project phases.
• Coordinate and manage trades, with exposure to BIM processes.
• Oversee all purchasing required to support projects, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
