Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking an Engineer to join the Preconstruction team in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time, in-person role offers a clear path for growth via a merit-based development program and opportunities across nationwide operations.

Responsibilities include interpreting design documents, preparing cost estimates, and guiding purchasing decisions while coordinating trades and BIM-related activities. Relocation is encouraged for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction management, preconstruction, or estimating.
• Outstanding communication and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and scheduling software.
• Willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction design documents and specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Manage cost and design issues throughout project phases.
• Coordinate and manage trades, with exposure to BIM processes.
• Oversee all purchasing required to support projects, including scope coordination, proposal evaluation, trade negotiations, and contracting.
