Job summary

Sixth Street is seeking a Fund Accounting Lead in Dallas, Texas. This full-time role involves leading accounting for multiple investment funds, overseeing monthly/quarterly/annual closings, investor reporting, and coordinating with the Funds’ Administrator.

The ideal candidate has extensive accounting experience in private equity or investment management, with strong attention to detail and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• 10-13+ years accounting experience in public accounting, fund admin, or private equity/investment management.
• Experience with alternative investments, private equity and partnership accounting, and fund administration is a plus.
• A. or B.S. in Accounting or related field; CPA or equivalent highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting responsibilities within monthly, quarterly, annual closing cycles.
• Assist in oversight of the Funds’ Administrator.
• Update and reconcile internal investment and accounting systems to the Funds’ Administrator.
• Manage investor reporting and requests including capital calls, distributions, and reporting.
• Manage the fund audit process and respond to auditors' questions.
• Assist with quarterly valuation process and fund expense reporting/analysis.
• Develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes.
• Identify and solve critical accounting and reporting issues.
• Lead special projects and analyses for firm leadership.
