Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company, Inc. is seeking a Tower Operator to run and maintain Cheese towers and related equipment at our facility.

The role requires strong attention to safety and food safety, with responsibilities spanning operation, sanitation and quality control across the Typical Day equipment and CIP/COP systems. You will perform in-process sampling, troubleshoot equipment issues, and participate in on-the-job training and teammate coaching while adhering to company food safety policies and

Qualifications

Must be able to understand, read, write and speak English.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to work 12-hour variable shifts including weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

Run and maintain Cheese towers and related equipment.
Identify flows from HCV’s to packaging and complete Product Transitions.
Troubleshoot plant issues with related equipment and/or process.
Maintain operation and sanitation of all Typical Day equipment including CIP and COP systems.
Perform in-process sampling as assigned.
Notify management/maintenance about any problems affecting safety, food safety or quality.
Learn and operate computer-related processes and controls.
Ensure proper product safe handling and reforming procedures.
Participate in training programs and buddy training with teammates.
